Operation Schedule: The park is open 8:00am - 6:00pm, from May 24 through mid-June; then 8:00am - 8:00pm through September 1; then weekends only, 8:00am - 6:00pm through September 28, 2008, weather permitting.

Lifeguards are on duty 9:00am-5:00pm on Memorial Day weekend (May24-26), then daily from June 7 through September 1, 2008, weather permitting. The bathhouse closes at 6:00pm daily.

Pets: Pets are not permitted at this state beach.

Wallis Sands is a wonderful family beach! It's not too large and is bordered on both sides by a barrier of rocks. It has a waist high concrete wall separating the beach and bath house and lots of nearly pristine sand. A smaller beach, there is ample parking and the bath house has a diverse park store. A large grassy area between the beach and the parking lot is perfect for frisbee, volleyball or wiffleball!

Weekends can be quite crowded here: arrive early to get a good spot and be sure to enjoy the view of the Isles of Shoals!
